Professional Training Event at FIG Working Week 2019
April 21 @ 8:30 am - 7:30 pm CEST
BELS+ will carry on a one day Professional Training Event as side event of the FIG Working Week 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The registration is available at the following link fig.net/fig2019
The BELS+ Training day is a course on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) data processing which focusses on the suverying domain. The training covers in detail in the study of the concepts and techniques used in the high-accuracy positioning by means of GNSS. The theoretical foundations for Standard and Precise Point Positioning (SPP, PPP) are presented, focusing in the instrumental use of the concepts and techniques of GNSS navigation. In particular, the different terms involved in modelling the code pseudoranges and carrier-phase measurments (relativistic effects, atmospheric propagation effects at troposphere/ionosphere, instrumental delays, clock synchronism, etc.). The processing algorithms are discussed in detail and implemented through guided exercises in the laboratory session based on the ESA/UPC GNSS Laboratory tool suite (gLAB), where the impact of the modelling accuracy is assessed in the positionin domain.
Also during the training course, participants can practice with NAVISIM – a Softwared Defined Radio GNSS signal generator – which can be used in laboratory for testing and validating the operation of GNSS receivers in different harsh real-world scenarios, as well as for training GNSS users (surveyors).
- participants equipped with their own laptop with administrator rights so as to be able to install gLAB tool
- gLAB will be distributed on a USB pen-drive
